Sometimes, I just need a little sweet to top off a good meal. Here's a quick, easy recipe that has no added sugar and is made with pure goodness. The best part about this recipe: there are a million ways to make it exactly how you want it. This particular recipe suites me well at the moment, as I am eating no sweets. But! You can add coconut flakes, fresh fruit, semi-sweet dark chocolate chips, (the list goes on...) and still make it a healthy dessert!
Chocolate-Pepppermint Banana Ice Cream
- 2 medium bananas, sliced
- 5-10 drops peppermint oil
- 1/2-2 Tbsp cocoa powder
Slice bananas thinly, then place pieces in freezer for at least 2 hours - preferably overnight. Once frozen, place bananas into food processor and blend until reaching a smooth consistency. Then, add peppermint oil and cocoa powder until you reach desired amount of chocolatey, pepperminty goodness. Then, enjoy!
(I used 6 drops peppermint oil and 1.5 Tbs cocoa powder... and proceeded to eat it very quickly.)
